These terms apply when you use Xpecialify.com and when you place an order with us. Plain English. No surprises. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

About Xpecialify

Xpecialify sells custom and collectible lightsabers. We are an independent retailer operating from the United States. Our lightsabers are handmade using aircraft-grade aluminum hilts, polycarbonate blades, and electronics sourced from trusted manufacturers. We are not affiliated with Disney, Lucasfilm, or any lightsaber brand whose products we may sell.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Lightsabers are not toys — they are collectibles with electronic components, lithium batteries, and in some cases, bright LED blades capable of causing eye strain if misused. By ordering, you confirm you are 18 or older and accept responsibility for safe use of the product.

Products

• Handmade variation: Each lightsaber hilt is hand-finished. Minor variations in anodizing color, weathering pattern, or machining marks are normal and part of what makes each piece unique. These are not defects.
• Blades: All blades are made from heavy-grade polycarbonate. They are designed for light to medium dueling. No blade is unbreakable — full-force contact, striking hard surfaces, or improper storage can cause cracks or shattering.
• Electronics: Neopixel, RGB, and Baselit models use different internal components. Specifications (LED count, soundboard type, battery capacity, blade effects) are listed on each product page. If a specification matters to you and is not listed, email us before ordering.
• Compatibility: Not all blades fit all hilts. Blade diameter (typically 1 inch or 7/8 inch) and connector type (Neopixel pin vs standard LED) must match. Product listings specify compatibility. If you are unsure, ask before ordering — we will confirm.
• Availability: Some models are made to order and may have lead times. If an item is out of stock or delayed, we will notify you within 1 business day with an estimated timeline and the option to wait, switch, or cancel for a full refund.
• Intellectual property: Inspired-by designs are original interpretations. They are not official replicas unless explicitly stated. Product names referencing characters or universes are for descriptive purposes only.

Pricing and Payment

• Currency: All prices in US Dollars (USD).
• Free worldwide shipping is included in the listed price unless otherwise noted on the product page.
• Price changes: Prices may change without notice. The price at the time you place your order is the price you pay.
• Pricing errors: If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we reserve the right to cancel and refund. We will notify you before cancelling.
• Tax and customs: International orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, or customs processing fees. These are your responsibility. We declare the actual purchase price — we will not undervalue shipments.
• Payment methods: Major credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal. Payment is processed at checkout via Stripe or PayPal. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on our server.

Orders

• Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation immediately after ordering.
• Acceptance: Your order is accepted when it ships. Until then, we may cancel for any reason (stock, pricing errors, payment issues). If we cancel, you get a full refund.
• Changes: Need to modify your order? Email us immediately. Once a build begins or a shipping label is generated, changes may not be possible.
• Order limits: We reserve the right to limit quantities. Some limited-edition or commission models may have per-customer caps.

Shipping and Delivery

All shipping terms — processing time, free worldwide shipping details, tracking, delivery estimates, customs, and lost package procedures — are on our Shipping Policy page. That page is part of these terms.

Risk of loss transfers to you when the carrier confirms delivery to the address you provided. If tracking shows delivered but you cannot locate the package, follow the steps on our Shipping Policy page — we will help.

Battery Safety

Many of our lightsabers use lithium-ion batteries (typically 18650 or 21700 cells). These are the same type of battery used in laptops, power tools, and electric vehicles. They are safe when used correctly. To prevent damage or injury:

• Use only the charger provided or a compatible smart charger.
• Do not leave charging unattended overnight.
• Remove the battery if storing the lightsaber for more than 30 days.
• Do not expose the hilt to extreme heat (car dashboard in summer) or water.
• If the battery swells, leaks, or emits an odor, stop using it immediately and dispose of it at an electronics recycling facility.

Xpecialify is not liable for damage or injury resulting from improper battery handling, use of third-party chargers, or modifications to the electronics.

Dueling and Use

Our lightsabers are designed for light to medium dueling with heavy-grade polycarbonate blades. They are not designed for:

• Full-force baseball-style swings against hard objects
• Striking concrete, metal, trees, or other non-blade surfaces
• Use as a tool, lever, or self-defense implement
• Use by children without adult supervision

Inspect your blade and hilt before each use. A cracked blade tip, loose emitter, or rattling internal chassis should be addressed before dueling. Xpecialify is not liable for injuries resulting from improper use or failure to inspect equipment.

Intellectual Property

• Our content: All text, product photos, graphics, logos, and videos on Xpecialify.com are our property. Do not copy, republish, or scrape our content without written permission.
• Product photos: We photograph every model ourselves. Competitors: our photos are not your stock images. We do check.
• User content: If you send us photos of your lightsaber, reviews, or customization ideas, you grant us permission to share them on our site and social media. We will credit you unless you ask us not to.
• Trademarks: Product names referencing fictional characters, franchises, or universes are descriptive. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Xpecialify is an independent retailer.

Privacy

How we handle your data is detailed on our Privacy Policy page. Short version: we collect only what we need, we never sell your data, and payments are processed securely by Stripe. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

Third-Party Services

We use Stripe and PayPal for payment processing, and international carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL) for shipping. Their respective terms and privacy policies apply to those portions of your transaction. We are not responsible for their practices, but we chose them because they are reliable and widely trusted.

Limitation of Liability

Xpecialify is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from use of our products or website.
• Delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (supply chain disruption, carrier delays, customs holdups, natural disasters).
• Injuries resulting from improper use of lightsabers, including dueling without protective equipment, striking hard surfaces, or use by unsupervised minors.
• Damage to property caused by improper battery charging, storage, or handling.

Our total liability for any product-related claim is limited to the purchase price of that product. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

Disputes

We strongly prefer to resolve issues directly. If you have a problem — with your order, your lightsaber, or our service — email [email protected] before pursuing formal action. In the vast majority of cases, we can work it out.

If informal resolution fails, disputes are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any formal legal action must be brought in the courts of New York County, New York.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted here and announced on our homepage for 30 days. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
